INSOMNIA


Insomnia is a ability to fall asleep at night for many hours or inability to have a sound sleep.

In Ayurveda insomnia is also known as “Anidra” .

Imbalance of doshas causes for nourishment of brain cells leading to insomnia.


Causes:-

-It is caused by aggravation of vata.

-Intake of tea, coffee, cold and dry food causes vata aggravation.



Treatment:-

-Massage the feet with lukewarm mustard oil before going to bed.

-Sirodhara ,Sirovasti treatments help in curing insomnia.


Diet &Lifestyle:-

-Have lots of dairy products ,nuts ,salads and fresh fruits.

-Having a glass of whole milk before bed is also helpful.
