FISTULA

An Anal fistula is a small channel that can develop between the end of the bowel and the skin near the anus.
- It can cause bleeding and discharge passing stools and can be painful.
- It can occur after surgery to drain an anal abscess.
CAUSES

- Anal fistula is most commonly caused by an anal abscess.
- Inflammation of intestines including Crohn’s disease diverticulitis.
- Cancer of the anorectum.
- Tuberculosis
- HIV AIDS

TREATMENT
- Once a fistula is formed it is better to have an ultra sound and depending upon the length of the track the treatment can be planned.
- Ksharasutra is one of the best treatments in Ayurveda which is done without any surgery and with permanent solution and without any side effects.
