Hair Fall

Now-days, hair fall has become one of the most common problem for both men & women, this is due to pollution, unhealthy lifestyle ,hormonal changes.
Stress, worry, anxiety and inadequate nutrition can lead to hair loss and premature greying. Ayurvedic treatment of hair loss is aimed at pacification of pitta through a customized diet and lifestyle regime, along with medication.


Treatment & Lifestyle:-

-Take 1tsp of Amla powder daily with water.
-Avoid fried food, alcohol/smoking.
-Increase intake of green leafy vegetables/fruits/yogurt.

CERVICAL EROSION



It is caused by contracting chronic infections, unusual PH balance, an increase in estrogen levels and Traumas .It is an inflammation of cervix cells, which is caused when squamous cells in the opening of the urinary tract turn into columnar cells. This produces irritation, redness, and inflammation.


AYURVEDIC TREATMENT:



-         Treatments like Uttara basti, Kshara karma in recurrent cervical erosion and pichu over the region are very much effective in treating such conditions.

AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS(ALS)



ALS is a rapidly progressive, invariably fatal neurological disease that attacks the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscles. It is sometimes called as “Lou Gehrig’s disease.

The disorder is characterized by rapidly progressive weakness, muscle atrophy and fasciculations, muscle spasticity, difficulty in swallowing.

TREATMENT:

-         The line of treatment mainly focuses in pacification of vata and bring all the doshas in equilibrium state.

-         Samshodhara, Samshamana and Kaya Kalpa all these are useful .

TUBAL BLOCK


Fallopian tube obstruction is a major cause of female infertility. Blocked fallopian tubes are unable to the let the ovum and the sperm coverage, thus making fertilization impossible. Tubal blockage is responsible for 25-30% of female infertility.

TREATMENT:
- Uttara basti is one of the age old techniques in Ayurveda where most of the tubal blocks have been successfully removed thereby the patient is able to conceive without any side effects.

UTI(Urinary Tract Infection)


UTI is infection in any part of the urinary system, the kidney, bladder or urethra. UTI are more common in woman. They usually occur in the bladder or urethra, but more serious infections involve the kidney. A bladder infection may cause pelvic pain, increased urge to urinate, pain with urination and blood in the urine.


Treatment:-
According to Ayurveda it is mainly caused by aggravation of pitta dosha .Ayurvedic medicines balances the infection fighting properties of urinary system and pacifies the heating toxins.

PRE NATAL,ANTE NATAL AND POST NATAL CARE

Prenatal are includes general health advice for mother & father to be as well as some simple do’s and don’ts for a healthy pregnancy.
Antenatal care ensures that mother and baby are regularly monitored throughout pregnancy making sure pregnancy progresses smoothly.

RENAL STONES

Renal stones are hard deposits of minerals and acid salts that stick together in concentrated urine. They can be painful when passing through the urinary tract, but usually don’t cause permanent damage. The most common symptom is severe pain, usually in the side of the abdomen, that’s often associated  nausea.

Symptoms:-

VARICOSE VEINS

Varicose veins occur when your veins become enlarged, dilated and overfilled C̅ blood. Varicose veins typically appear swollen and raised and have a bluish-purple or red color. They are often painful. Ayurveda explains varicose veins as Siraja granthi.

ACID PEPTIC DISEASE

Excessive Secretion of acid and pepsin or a weakened stomach mucosal defense is responsible for damage to the delicate mucosa and the lining of stomach, esophagus and duodenum resulting in ulceration which is known as Acid peptic disease. It is a collective term used to include many conditions such as gastro esophageal reflux disease(GERD)gastritis, gastric ulcer, Zollinger Ellison Syndrome(ZES) and Meckel’s diverticular ulcer.

Treatment:-
It is caused by aggravation of pitta. Aggravated pitta leads to increase of acidic content in stomach fluids. To balance pitta certain Ayurvedic herbs as well we panchakarma procedures like vasti, vamana karma and Snehapanam are very much helpful.

Diet & Lifestyle:-
-Avoid Tea and coffee.
-Intake of Buttermilk helps in digestion.
-Take meals at regular intervals.

-Practice yoga asanas.

INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE(IBS)

It represents a group of intestinal disorders that causes prolonged inflammation of the digestive tract.The exact cause of the IBD is not known but genetics and problems with immunity have been associated with IBD.IBD is comprised of 2 major disorders which include chron’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Symptoms:-
-Diarrhoea.
-Bleeding ulcers.
-Bowel obstruction.
-Weight loss.
-Anemia.
Treatment:-

Ayurvedic treatment mainly removes toxins, digest ama, boost the immune system by balancing all the doshas.
Home remedies for IBS:-

  • Cumin seeds and tender leaves of Guava are taken and made into fine paste.20 gram of thisis taken along with buttermilk twice daily. It helps to reduce the frequency ofepisodes of bowel habit.
  • The fruit cover (epicarp) of Pomegranate is rubbed well with lemon juice andfine paste is made. This is taken twice daily along with warm water. Thisrestores the capacity of small intestine.

Diet & Lifestyle:-
  • Have regular meals and take time to eat.
  • Drink at least eight cups of fluid per day, especially water or other non-caffeinated drinks, for example herbal teas.
  • Restrict tea and coffee to three cups per day.
  • Reduce intake of alcohol and fizzy drinks.
  • For general health benefit, adults should achieve a total of at least 30 minutes a day of atleast moderate intensity physical activity on 5 or more days of the week.

FROZEN SHOULDER



It is a condition characterized by stiffness and pain in the shoulder joint. It may happen after an injury or overuse or from a disease such as diabetes such as diabetes or stroke. There is a limitation of motion in a joint due to inflammatory thickening of the capsule, a common cause of stiffness in the shoulder.

ANAL POLYP

Polyps  are the abnormal growths that start in the inner lining of the anal canal or rectum. Most of the time symptoms include bleeding while passing stools, painful defecation or constipation that lasts longer than one week. Most of the polyps have been observed with  increasing frequency in the past few years.

Treatment:-
Ayurvedic treatment like kshara karma and advanced techniques have showed tremendous results without any surgery or reoccurrence.

LORDOSIS

It can be defined as an excessive inward curve of the spine. It differs from the spine’s normal curves at the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions. Lordosis is found in all age groups. It primarily affects the lumbar spine, but can occur in the neck.

PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS


It is a chronic disease characterized by a form of inflammation of the skin and joints. Psoriasis often affects the tip of the elbows and knees, scalp, ears, navel, genital areas.

Symptoms:-

-Swollen joints.
-Swelling of toes & fingers.
-nail pitting.
-joint stiffness.

Treatment:-

Caused due to vitiation of 3 doshas, but predominantly due to vata & kapha. So shodhana chikitsa like vamanam, virechanam & rakta mokshanam etc. are helpful.

Diet &Lifestyle management:-

-Incompatible foods like dairy products with fish should be avoided.
-Avoid too much of sour and salted food.

-Practice pranayamam regularly.

It’s a condition in which bones become weak and brittle. The body constantly absorbs and replaces bone tissue. With osteoporosis, new bone creation doesn’t keep up with the old bone removal.
According to Ayurveda it is vata disorder hence vata balancing diet is very much necessary.
